Welcome to Poplar Farm School
C.I.T. Academies will be opening a brand new mainstream primary school in Grantham.
The new, state of the art school is being built to the north west of the town, within the Newton's Place housing development, and will open its doors to Reception children in September 2018.
The new school will be named after the site it is built on – The Poplar Farm Estate.
Poplar Farm forms part of the Buckminster Estate. Planning permission was granted by South Kesteven District Council to build a total of 1,800 houses on the land off Barrowby Road, over the next decade. As many are family homes, this means hundreds of families and their children will move into the town.
The plans submitted to the county council include the new two-storey primary school with associated hard surfaced play areas, sports fields and parking.

Welcome to our Poplar Farm School website, I hope you can find all the information you need.
I have enjoyed meeting prospective new parents at our numerous Open Meetings held last year, and also on occasion, some of our future pupils.
Following 'Offer Day' on April 16th, I will write to invite you along to some further drop in sessions, as well as parent inductions and pupil taster days that we will host later in the year.
I am looking forward to meeting you and your child and excited to open the doors in September of your new, local Primary School.

The school will open to Reception age pupils in September 2018 and from that point provide the highest standards of education, care and educational enjoyment. Poplar Farm’s curriculum will be developed to ensure that pupils and adults have a love for learning and give them the skills to fulfil their potential and ultimately follow in the footsteps of local greats such as Isaac Newton.
Poplar Farm will be part of Community Inclusive Trust (C.I.T.). The Trust will ensure that it recruits and provides the best staff and resources to meet the Trust’s purpose;
